Chaney Indoor Thermometer with HumidityReviewsi a'm varry happy with the unit. knowing the humidity & temp. makes the house more comfortable Reliable. Easy to use, perfect for apartments. I bouth three of them and worked great. It includes a magnet that is very useful. Easy to read, and perfect size! I bought one of these for a specific purpose of monitoring temperature and humidity right next to my guitars. According to others, the humidity is on average 20% high, but this is NOT the case for me. I have found the humidity to be accurate to 4%, which is plenty when dealing with instruments. The low and high reading is what I was actually after in a unit, and the Chaney Indoor Thermometer with Humidity has done this quite well. Upon the first day of use, I found my humidity was dropping significantly, probably at night when it gets fairly cold due to cold weather, compared to what I was recording with my analog meter. If you move the unit to a different location, expect results to change, even if it is in the same room. This is acceptable and expected. My analog meter has the same response, but I use that in a different area and wanted something that was much more compact and could record ranges. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase and will be correcting the humidity issue I was unaware existed due to this handy tool. I would recommend it if you are concerned with humidity/temperature of a specific small area, not a large area, as values of a large area will be different and this monitor would not have the capabilities to give accurate results. I have mine mounted on a RockStand Folding Multiple Guitar Stand (for 7 Guitars) and it was well worth the 12.99 after shipping. Well worth the $13 to possibly save the life of $5,000+ worth of instruments. The reason I did not give it 5 stars is because it does not have all the features I am looking for, but it has and is continuing to serve its main function. The 4 stars is simply because I wish I could set acceptable values for high/low/normal humidity readings for a quick glance, however I was never under the impression that this unit could fulfill my wish. Due to having an electronics background, adding this feature would not be hard at all and should have been done before product release. This is a battery operated device displaying very accurate data on indoor humidity, and even tells you if the humidity is optimum, too low, or too high. The data we've found so far is very accurate. The temperature is displayed in current, high and low with very accurate readings. It's portable, easy to read, accurate and reasonably priced. I bought 4 of these thermometers as I need humidity for my eye's , 2 were accurate and were 2 inaccurate in the humidity reading. For a gauge that is built to read humidity, I was disappointed. Oregon Scientific THT312 Wired Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer and ClockReviewsHave one monitoring freezer in garage. The new one is being used to monitor temperatures in a media cabinet as I adjust fans. Very visible display, and having both ambient and sensor temps at the same time at a large display size is great. No problems whatsoever. Gives me the temp outside the house and in the bedroom. What, it should do something else? I've had this model for 4 years now, and it's worked flawlessly. Now, however, I find the sun has turned the outdoor temperature wire insulation hard and brittle. The plastic insulation now shatters with any stress or bending on it, making keeping it connected impossible. A simple replacement part would help with this. Otherwise, this thermometer should last indefinitely. I'll probably buy another. I purchased 2 of thermometers, one for my son-in-law and one for my husband. Can't review the one sent to Maryland but the one at use here in my home is great. I truly never cared about the indoor/outdoor temperature until my husband set ours up and now we both find ourselves checking it each time we pass it. Great fun! I think this is a great buy for a weather update outside. The inside temp is off b/c I have it near the window. But come on for the price, you really cant ask for much more. Go for it! La Crosse Technology Weather Channel WS-9077TWC Wireless Weather Forecast StationReviewsThe La Cross Technology Weather Channel WS-9077twc Wireless Forcase Station is wonderful. Not only does it tell us the indoor and outdoor temperatures, but also shows if it is going to rain or be sunny. We are truly enjoying it, plus is it is so very useful in a Sun Belt State. This little unit is modestly priced, but packs a lot of features useful to those interested in the weather. Both the base unit and the included outdoor sending unit are well-constructed. The range for the outdoor sending unit is excellent, much better than the weather station I had before. The unit picked up and, so far, has retained a strong connection to the atomic clock, something my old unit could not do though placed in exactly the same location uin the kitchen. Set up is easy if you follow the instructions. I have only two quibbles. Both the unit and display are smaller than I would like; but this might be a positive for you if you plan to have the unit sitting on a smaller desk or table. Second, so far the "forecaster" may not be as accurate as the one in my last unit. I am thinking that my old unit had an altitude "offset" feature. I don't think this one does. Price and shipping speed are excellent. I ordered this weather station. I got it up and running with it's remote sensor. Not a big deal. The temps on the base station and the receiver that came with the unit were very close...and it was easy to PROGRAM. Here's the RUB...the Amazon Site has an ERROR. If you want a REMOTE SENSOR TO WORK WITH THIS ONE...do NOT TRUST AMAZON. You need to TX29U-IT Sensor. LaCrosse says that this is the NUMBER ONE COMPLAINT with this unit...that Amazon has them LINKED. I am trying to get Amazon to return the incorrect sensor and replace it with the correct one. I doubt that will be a problem. However, for folks in the future to AVOID THIS HASSLE...you need to do some homework. Go to the LaCrosse Technology Website and do a SEARCH for the base or weather station that you want. When you find it, you will find in the SPECS the correct Remote Sensor. Hope this helps someoneelse avoid my issues and the hassle. This is the second unit I've had. Each one has lasted about 15 months and then the outdoor temp is no longer read. Replaced batteries, reset as instructed and still no out door reading. Same thing both times. Done with this product. This product is easy to use. I love being able to know the exact temp inside and out! Average Rating:![]() |

Honeywell C7189U1005 Vision Pro Indoor SensorReviewsAfter about a month of so of use things seem to be working fine and there has been no problems. It was easy to install. Bill Henry is correct! This is not the right picture but the description is correct and is exactly what I needed. I think the picture is of the "junction box" that goes with the C7189U if you want to have 4 or 8 remote temperature sensors to use temperature averaging throughtout your house. The RTS is small as it should be, 1 1/2" wide, 2 1/4" tall and 3/4" deep, almost invisible on a white wall. It works great and solved my problem without having to move the thermostat to where I installed the RTS. This was the 2nd time I ordered from Plumbing Planet and again they were great. When I ordered it, the "quantity in stock" said "1" which worried me a little. But I ordered it late Friday afternoon and it was at my front door the following Tuesday using UPS Standard. 1. The image you show for the C7189U1005 is not correct. Plumbing Planet where I purchused unit has informed you of my concerns. I purchesed two units on e-bay and they have the image you show and on the inside, there is a label showing unit is a C718U1005, which is required for use with HONEYWELL TH8500 Series Thermostat. This unit is well constructed and is designed to fit an AC standard outlet; however, the unit I received when ordering from Plumbing is a Honeywell C718U1005 as shown on Honeywell web page. This unit is not equal to the two units I received from ebay. 2. Plumbing Plant has been great and were willing to have unit returned. 3. Honeywell Customer Care told me that they were not aware of any change in their unit. 4. The unit received, C7189U1005 is very fragile, very small, has a cover which is not secure on base, is not designed to fit over an AC standard outlet, and mounts on wall with screws and plastic inserts. 5. Users manual is confusing. English pages do not go in sequence. Does not specify that remote sensors have to be installed as 1, 4, 9, etc. This cause me and the air conditioning technician much wasted time trouble shooting since I was trying to install 2 sensors. Honeywell Customer Care did clear up the problem. The manual does show diagrams as to how the units can be wired but does not specify that the installation must be as shown. These little guys are cheap and work great. The literature, however, is unclear on how to use them. When using one, the sensor in the thermostat is disabled, so you have only the one sensor. If you wish to use more than one, you cannot use two...or three, you must use 4. Average Rating:![]() |

Aube by Honeywell TE513/U Electronic Indoor Thermometer and Humidistat, WhiteReviewsI purchased two of these units. I kept reporting that the humidity levels for my new humidifiers were too low. A Honeywell factory rep came with his unit and we discovered that both units are off as much as 15%. Remember, this product is made by Honeywell. To prove this to myself, I put the units outdoors and compared them to the observations by the National Weather Service. They were off 20%. I do not recommend this product. Average Rating:![]() |

Aube by Honeywell TE513-7/U Electronic Indoor Thermometer and Humidistat, CharcoalReviewsI purchased 2 of these items. The thermometer temperature on each of them was always off by 2 - 4 degrees as compared to the temperature on mercury thermometers. Also, the temperature on these 2 were never the same; their readings were always at least 2 degrees apart. I bought this little beauty for our server room, where we'd had some temperature issues. It's easy to see from across the (small) room; looks like it belongs there; light enough to hang on the wall with sticky tape. In short does exactly what I wanted it do do. I can't speak for other applications but I'm completely satisfied. Average Rating:![]() |

Indoor Outdoor Talking Thermometer by Voice Zone - A18033ReviewsVery accurate and the voice tone is very loud. At night I can clearly hear the hourly voice clearly in another room. Very nice item.. I am amazed how well this cheap unit works. I bought it as an experiment, and it's great. The volume is controllable, and voice is friendly, and clear. For a small unit, the screen is amazingly readable. You can easily read the temperature from the other side of a large room - 18-20 ft away. The programming gives you all kind of options for the voice to announce just one or two temperatures on an hourly basis. Using the alarm feature, it gives you a full repeated readout at a preferred time of day (no, we don't actually use it as an alarm, but it's a great way to highlight some time of day e.g., noon, or 5:00 pm). The sensor is sealed with the cable, and that is sealed into the unit. So, you can't disconnect the sensor to run the wire. To install it through a wall (as I did, into my sun room), you need about a 3/8 inch hole. That's much bigger than I would have preferred. Other than that, installation couldn't be easier for a wired sensor system. Average Rating:![]() |

ElectroOptix® Inc. Kleer Temp ThermometerReviewsI bought 2 of these and put them on the window out of the sun. they both read the same and both were atleast 5 degrees off. My husband and I love this thermometer. One of the kids had given us one a number of years ago and somehow the knob broke off and it stopped working. When we finally found another one we knew we had to have it. They are easy to put up and easy to read. They do last a long time. Thanks Did you ever want to know the outside temp before you got dressed in the morning? This is your answer. Mine was so admired by my next door neighbor that I bought one for her as a birthday present. This thermometer is much too sensitive. When the sun shines on it the temperature increases 20 degrees. If you keep it out of the sun it would probably work fine. I have purchased in the past from Amazon other outdoor weather thermometer(s) which i use and like as well but when i saw this one ...just cling onto your window..i thought i'd buy this one and it really works...it's easy to view outside my window goodsize numbers to see and it has not fallen off, even in the rain and winds it stays. What's nice i can remove and relocate if i want to. I think next time i will purchase 2 more of these..they're affordable! Thank you Amazon.com for bringing these workable items to us. 12V, Electronic Thermometer, Indoor/Outdoor, with Ice Alert & Clock-1 ""AAA"" Included"ReviewsNice little unit. Works as described. Love the option to plug in to cigarette lighter for back light. Would recommend it for when temps are borderline freezing and you are worried about black ice. Would purchase again. good item worth the price only 2 problems for me. First for the outside thermometer its kind of hard to find a place to put it in without it being affected either by the heat of engine or direct sunlight or the heat of transmission or the wind when vehicle is in motion and second you can only uses the light when you connect it to the lighter its not either battery or lighter plug which for me makes my inside of the car look cluttery with all the wires that i have Average Rating:![]() |

CONCEPT XT IN/OUT THERMOMETER/CLOCK--BACK-LITReviewsIf you read the directions and place the sensor within the front bumper the readings are within 2-4 degrees inside and out. I have had no problems with it after 7 months and I am looking at buying another one for a different vehicle. The delivery of this product was lightening quick. Unfortunately it never has worked right. Exterior temperature is totally nutzo most of the time. Interior temperature reads fine, but thats not what I bought it for. I could not find shipping box and papers and it only cost me $20 so rather than try to return it we tossed it!! Chalk it up to another win for the makers of junk. This is better than some other's I've tried...It hasn't died yet. Placing the sensor probe in an appropriate area is tricky. My gauge shows outrageously high temps (even in the winter) until the vehicle is moving then it is pretty accurate. The probe has an adheasive back to allow you to stick it somewhere. I haven't done this because I'm moving it around to see where it works best. I've tried a few of these type of sensors and none seem to be as good as the factory installed types on the cars that are equiped with them (kind of a no brainer). Bottom line...better than nothing for me. Average Rating:![]() |

Oregon Scientific RM313PNA Self-Setting Projection Alarm Clock with Indoor Thermometer, BlueReviewsI was tired of craning my neck in bed to see the time and purchased the Oregon Scientific self-setting clock for the projection feature. I was so pleased with its performance I immediately purchased another clock as a replacement in my office. I have subsequently purchased six more clocks, which I gave as gifts. I heartily recommend this wonderful product. John C. Hughes Las Vegas, NV This clock is okay for the price, but the model we received doesn't have a working backlight on the front display. I tried contacting the company through the email address on their website, but it came back as undeliverable. For me, it's not worth the trouble to try to send back to Amazon to exchange for another one, and I'm just using it for the time projection, so I'm using it as-is. Based on other reviews I've read, though, it's not uncommon to get a defective unit, so keep that in mind. I been using this alarm clock for 2 years now and I have no complaints about it. Doesn't go out of time, it synchronizes itself. It projects the time in big red numbers in the ceiling so when I wake up in the middle of the night all I have to do is look up and I know the time. The alarm is annoying enough to wake me up (that's a good thing) and the snooze button gives me 8 more minutes of sleep, lol. Also it tells the temperature. Really good alarm clock! This clock was given to me as a gift about 5 1/2 years ago. It has worked just fine all that time until about 6 months ago when the LED lights for the projection apparatus started going out...we have to guess at the minutes now, and the hour is also starting to go. For the money, however, it worked well for 5 years. I ordered this only for the projection clock. It works exactly as described. I would absolutely purchase again. Average Rating:![]() |

Oregon Scientific RMR382A-BK Wireless Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer with Self-Setting Atomic Clock, BlackReviewsOnce it works, this is quite an attractive and convenient thermometer and it seems to give an accurate outdoor reading. That's on the plus side. On the negative side are these: 1) The atomic clock -- do we really need that? -- has never worked, at least not on mine. It picks up a signal, but not the right time. 2) The temperature alarm is a great idea maybe if you're a citrus grower and want to know when the temperature dips below freezing, but a stupid idea for the rest of us. Good luck with figuring out how to deactivate it. (Other reviewers have sufficiently chronicled their travails with this one.) 3) The instruction booklet specifies the use of UM03 and UM04 batteries. Don't be an idiot and chase all over town trying to find batteries with that name; you won't find them. Just use standard AA and AAA alkaline or lithium batteries. 4) The remote sensor won't give an accurate temperature if it is attached to the house, so you are challenged with finding a location away from the house that will be sheltered from the sun and rain as well as in line with the receiver. 5) Setting up the device requires a lot of resetting to make it work. Where are those reset buttons? They are conveniently located pinholes inside the battery cases. Inspired design! 6) Also, the time zone selector is located inside the unit's battery case, just so you will go nuts trying to find it. Even if reliably functioning, this is not a well-designed product and is way too complicated for most people's use. Setting it up is and learning how to use it is frustrating and unnecessarily difficult. The instructions require what seems like hours of study. Buyers should beware that this is anything but a put-the-batteries-in-and-it-goes product. Oregon Scientific really needs to work on this one. It took me awhile to get the positioning right on the outdoor transmitter, I had to keep moving it and resetting it until I just about gave up and THEN it started working. It was cheap and now works fine but it would've been a hassle to send back had it not decided to work. This works well and the clock picks up the signal quickly. The only negative is it can't be hung on the wall. I purchased this RM382A to replace an earlier model Oregon remote thermometer that had failed after 5+ years. This RM382A was a good device, while it lasted. It operated flawlessly for 10 months. Now the remote sensor does not register. The sensor, with a new lithium AA blinks the indicator LED, but the display will not register an outside temperature. This is true even when the sensor is within 5' of the RM382A. The sensor, while outside, was under roof, and out of direct weather. I have no way of telling if the sensor failed, or the main unit failed. I'm highly disappointed with Oregon. This clock is good. But it was a little difficult to get the right time and temperature. Average Rating:![]() |

Timex TX7003 12.25-Inch Rain Gauge with Magnified DialReviewsEasy to read scale. funnel is made from thick clear plastic. Is resistannt to freezing. Will see in the long run if the UV sunlight will affect its condition! The scale to measure amount of rainfall shows each 1/2 inch. BUT the scale in between each 1/2 inch IS NOT calibrated to each 1/10 of an inch as all other English measure gauges are. There are only 3 lines instead of the 4 there should be to measure tenths between 1/2 inches. That means each line represents 0.125 inches. I bought and put up 2 of these. At $2.99 seemed like a good deal on a simple accurate rain gauge. At first rain I figured out the incorrect scale. Not properly calibrated, it's worth $0. Pretty straight forward. It is a little bigger than I expected, but it makes it easier to read. It's all plastic, so I don't expect it to last forever. Would buy as a gift for someone. Many problems with this rain gauge. First the plastic it is made out of is very thin and fragil and the markings on it are hard to read. The bottom portion of the gauge on the two I purchased broke off early on. Finally the markings are not in tenths of and inch but in eights of an inch which is a shortcoming for me. Look elsewhere if you want a gauge that is easy to use and will hold up over the long term. Just what I wanted - a durable rain gauge that I can easily check, and also can install in a variety of places. I'm using it in-ground right now, quite stable just pushing into the grass; and am very pleased with how easily I can read it! Great price - would make a good gift. Average Rating:![]() |

Indoor/Outdoor ThermometerReviewsIndoor/Outdoor Thermometers are helpful during the winter to let you know how much clothing you need to put on. This one will do the job, too. That would be nice and prettier too! Average Rating:![]() |
