La Crosse Technology Projection Alarm Clock with Outdoor TemperatureReviewsdon't even bother, material is cheap and not worth it I would gone to the movies with what I spent on this thing and it would be more fun. We love this clock. I wish you could turn off the temperature reading and simply do the clock but overall, very happy. While you can't be too visually impaired to read this clock, the size of the projected display can, to some extent, be adjusted, though like everyone says it could be brighter - your bedroom has to be quite dark to see it well. I love watching the outdoor temperature progression through the night, it's nice having one clock that two people can easily read, and I like that the time is synchronized with the Denver atomic clock. I bought this clock for my wife for christmas, and it was a good choice. The projection to the ceiling is a nice feature, and is clear enough when the room is dark. It is a bit odd that you have to turn the clock face away from you to orient the projection to the readable position. Programming the local time can be a little tricky too, as the clock bases its time on a reading from the world clock. The thermometer is a nice perk also. The remote sensor works fine. I bought this clock in addition to another projection clock from Oregon Scientific so I could take the the more basic one on vacation with me. This one had the outside temperature in addition to the time. I did have a little issue getting it on daylight savings time, but after that it seemed to work very well. The temperature seemed to take a while to stabilize, and it does seem to measure to the high side, but all-in-all, it works extremely well. The projection size of the digits are a little smaller but more precise than the Oregon Scientific but what a great device that allows you to see the time and temperature without twisting and squinting. I took a fall a few years back and am in a wheelchair making this a near necessity, especially on vacation. I would recommend these clocks to everyone. Average Rating:![]() |

La Crosse Technology WS-8117U-IT-AL Atomic Clock with Remote TemperatureReviewsIt's been just what I expected. I've had it for two months now and have no complaints. The item arrived very shortly! It's a great clock. Contemporary look, great functionality. I bought them for my home office and they suits to this purpose very well. Time, thermometers and moon phase are very accurate. I love this clock! For this price you can't get anything better. Highly recommended! I bought this as a gift for my parent's lake home. They absolutely love it. The information is always accurate, and the outdoor transponder has worked great. There have been no problems with this product. The moon phase is a little counter-intuitive, but once you get used to it, the unit is easy to interpret. We love this atomic clock. I bought it for my husband for his birthday in January. It was easy to hook up, etc. and seems to be very accurate. Very handy to have in the kitchen. Gave as a gift and was recently told it wont pick up the exterior temperature. I have tried new batteries and resetting it, but nothing. Nice look, but not working. Average Rating:![]() |

La Crosse Technology WS-7014CH-IT Wireless Weather StationReviewsThis is a newer version of a weather station that served me well for a dozen years. In fact, that older weather station still works, but the outdoor sender died. So, I thought I would order this model, and its sender would feed data to both the old indoor unit and this new indoor unit. Great theory, as the picture on Amazon has 433mhz clearly stamped on the front of the indoor unit. But that is incorrect. This unit comes with the 915mhz sender, as the text describing the unit clearly states. But rather than send it back, I kept it because it works so well and looks so good and is priced so low, as these things go. The old unit went into a drawer as I hate to throw away anything that still works. This item was too narrow in viewing for our choice. We really had to view closely to read and not be distracted by the frame. Of course, us old folks like to see the "big picture" on everything! This was my first product from LaCrosse Technology, and am completely satisfied. I'm a weather bug and have been for 50 years, and I watch what type of products I purchase and from whom. This item looks like the picture. However, my husband did not like it because he thought that the numbers were too small to read. (without glasses) This is a great little thermometer, barometer, clock, calendar, forecast machine. My only complaint is that it takes too long to update. Example: there are black clouds above my house and the icon still shows "sunny and clear", with the barometer arrow up, after about an hour, it will show the barometer dropping and clouds. Still love it though. Average Rating:![]() |

Weather Direct WD-3308U-MF-WAL Internet-Powered Wireless Weather Station by La Crosse TechnologyReviewsI should have read the reviews on the Model 3307 a very similar model and heeded them. But, thinking the 3308 was a debugged upgrade I made my second mistake and purchased it. It's one thing to spend ten dollars on a marginal item and quite another to spend a hundred. Like so many of the 3307s I got five days use out of mine before it too morphed into useless gadgetry and became high rent clutter. Average Rating:![]() |

La Crosse Technology WS-8300U Wireless Weather Station with Digital TimeReviewsThe numbers in the display didn't all work correctly, so the item was returned for a full refund. I purchased Weathertech model FX5000, which has more features and a larger display. It works great. Just received and really enjoy the larger display. Nice to see at a glance what it says. Easy to set up and started working right away. Only drawback is the Min/Max function button is on the back of the unit. That is okay if you set it on a table or desk, but I have mine hanging on the wall, so that makes it not so handy. I would still recommend it! This will be a really short review as the unit stopped working only after 2 days. I liked it for that little while but wish it would last a bit more. It does have a nice uncluttered screen and a modern stainless steel look. This is going back to Amazon. I bought this thermometer because it had a large display and modern styling. Both of these are what I got. My complaint is that the accuracy of this thermometer around freezing is not very good. My kids have a couple weather stations I got them for last christmas and when they say 32 it is freezing out. Mine will say almost 35 even though it has clearly dipped below freezing. So if you just want a general idea of temperature with a nice large display, this is the one for you. Otherwise I would seek something more accurate. Average Rating:![]() |

Lacrosse Technology Wind Sensor - WS-2310-15ReviewsThe unit is fine, I was not aware that I needed a base station to use it, my fault though Working great. Hopefully it will last longer than the 1st one which quit after about 1 yr. I bought this to replace our old worn out wind speed sensor. We have had our weather machine for about 4 years now and the wind sensor started not recording. Since you can't get inside that easily to fix them we bought this replacement and figure it should last us another 4 years. Not too bad for a $45 investment. I searched all over the net to find one and thanks to Amazon I was able to find what I was looking for. Lacrosse and Ambient didn't show them on either of their websites. Thanks again Amazon for making my shopping easy and a pleasure. Wind sensor failed after 2 years on original WS-2308. It was a guess as to whether it was the sensor or the transmit unit. There is no apparent way to isolate the two. Lacrosse Tech. Co. was absolutely no help as their service gets a zero rating. However the replacement unit, the company ordered from, and Amazon fulfilled their commitment properly. This problem was fixed. It appears from discussion with others that the three main makers of home weather stations all have poor service, and products that eventually fail. This is what you get for the price point - weather stations that do not handle the weather very well! Original failed after about 3-4 years of use. The symptoms were no data received at the panel and no data logged in Heavy Weather or any other weather app. Although it was a gamble whether this was the problem or the main panel, I guessed that this component sees more action and weather than the panel and took a chnace that this may fix the problem. It did indeed fix the problem. The weather station is completely back to normal now. Unfortunately, I still do not know a way to definitively diagnose the failure in the future. (How to test this sensor) But I will be less reluctant to take a chance on this component. Average Rating:![]() |
