La Crosse Technology WT-5120U Projection Alarm Clock with Outdoor TemperatureReviewsWe have had projection alarm clocks for many years. This one is the best so far. The outdoor temperature feature seems silly but we both enjoy seeing it in the middle of the night. This item is smaller than expected.. construction feels very light and cheap. However the projection works good and I really like the outdoor censor. don't even bother, material is cheap and not worth it I would gone to the movies with what I spent on this thing and it would be more fun. We love this clock. I wish you could turn off the temperature reading and simply do the clock but overall, very happy. While you can't be too visually impaired to read this clock, the size of the projected display can, to some extent, be adjusted, though like everyone says it could be brighter - your bedroom has to be quite dark to see it well. I love watching the outdoor temperature progression through the night, it's nice having one clock that two people can easily read, and I like that the time is synchronized with the Denver atomic clock. La Crosse Technology WS-8117U-IT-AL Atomic Clock with Remote TemperatureReviewsThis replaced a wall clock and an indoor outdoor (with wire) thermometer with a compact unit and no wires. Love it! It's been just what I expected. I've had it for two months now and have no complaints. The item arrived very shortly! It's a great clock. Contemporary look, great functionality. I bought them for my home office and they suits to this purpose very well. Time, thermometers and moon phase are very accurate. I love this clock! For this price you can't get anything better. Highly recommended! I bought this as a gift for my parent's lake home. They absolutely love it. The information is always accurate, and the outdoor transponder has worked great. There have been no problems with this product. The moon phase is a little counter-intuitive, but once you get used to it, the unit is easy to interpret. We love this atomic clock. I bought it for my husband for his birthday in January. It was easy to hook up, etc. and seems to be very accurate. Very handy to have in the kitchen. Average Rating:![]() |

La Crosse Technology WS-7014CH-IT Wireless Weather StationReviewsKnowing the weather, both current conditions and forecast, is helpful for planning purposes. Most people turn to their television set or to the internet to get this information, but the LaCrosse Technology Wireless Forecast Station offers an alternative. This device sits on a table or desk, or can be wall- mounted. It displays the indoor and outdoor temperatures, humidity, time, date, and forecast for the coming day. While knowing about the weather can be useful, the LaCrosse Technology Wireless Forecast Station has its share of issues. Looking at the pros first, I like the easy to read LCD display, the accuracy of the time, which is taken directly from the official Atomic Clock, and the useful information regarding indoor temps, outdoor temp, humidity, etc. The unit has a nice appearance, too, and it looks good on most any desktop. The display is made even more interesting by the use of the forecast symbols and the flashing rays of the sun or flashing streaks of rain. This might seem like a distraction, but only a few lines flash, so you don't even notice unless you look straight at the display. On the negative side, the LaCrosse Technology Wireless Forecast Station has a few flaws that cannot be overlooked and chief among them is the accuracy of the forecast. The manufacturer admits that the forecast is only 75 percent accurate, which isn't very good. Keep in mind that this forecast is supposed to be for the next twelve hours- not the next several days. Given the closeness of the time frame, I expect better accuracy than this. Other issues are less significant, but still bear mentioning. First, the unit is rather light and that means it is very easy to accidentally knock it off your desk. Second, there is the fact that four AA batteries are required for operation. Both the base unit and the sensor need a pair of batteries to function. The batteries last for a while, but you always have to be on the lookout for a fading screen or other signs that the batteries are near the end of their life. I like knowing about the weather conditions and the LaCrosse Technology Wireless Forecast Station is a nice novelty item with some good information to share about the weather. I like the accurate time, the LCD display, and other features but this unit is not without its faults, the worst of which is the unreliable weather forecast. I will continue to keep it on my desktop and consult it every now and then when I am curious about the weather, but the unreliable accuracy of the forecast and other faults convince me to rate this device only average overall. This is a newer version of a weather station that served me well for a dozen years. In fact, that older weather station still works, but the outdoor sender died. So, I thought I would order this model, and its sender would feed data to both the old indoor unit and this new indoor unit. Great theory, as the picture on Amazon has 433mhz clearly stamped on the front of the indoor unit. But that is incorrect. This unit comes with the 915mhz sender, as the text describing the unit clearly states. But rather than send it back, I kept it because it works so well and looks so good and is priced so low, as these things go. The old unit went into a drawer as I hate to throw away anything that still works. This item was too narrow in viewing for our choice. We really had to view closely to read and not be distracted by the frame. Of course, us old folks like to see the "big picture" on everything! This was my first product from LaCrosse Technology, and am completely satisfied. I'm a weather bug and have been for 50 years, and I watch what type of products I purchase and from whom. This item looks like the picture. However, my husband did not like it because he thought that the numbers were too small to read. (without glasses) Average Rating:![]() |

P.D.Q. Bach: WTWP Classical Talkity-Talk RadioReviewsThis is a satire of the annoying disc jockey "personalities" who are all-too-apparent on radio today. As is so often the case with this sort of satire, it mimicks what its mocking a little too closely while not providing enough in the way of humor. There are some good pieces, like the PDQ Bach folksongs, but the music faded to the background when viewed alongside the obnoxious radio personalities. Some of it, was not only annoying, but kind of poinless, like the Elvis parody. I'm a huge fan of PDQ, but this album was too much even for me. Okay, I am not really a listener of classical radio stations, so I cannot comment on whether this send-up of classical radio stations is really fair. But, when I am trapped in a car without my IPOD, I do listen to many pop radio stations and the material on this CD with lots of annoying and stupid DJ chatter is all too familiar. But that is the problem. Listening to this CD is like watching a comedy skit that goes on and on longer than it has to. Yes I did laugh a few times at the material and the liner notes. But I cannot say this is really even "average" PDQ material, hence the below average rating. Ok, it's not better than Citizen Kane. It's just that I played "Jocko" on this CD and had a great time doing it. I'm glad so many people reviewed and liked the recording. Elliott Forrest Let me say at the outset that this is not my favorite PDQ Bach album. I agree with other reviewers that the PDQ Bach works themselves are somewhat less inspiring that on other albums. But there is one aspect of this album that needs to be pointed out: it is an absolutely devestating parody of what has become of classical music radio stations. More and more I find (and apparently Schickele also finds) that classical stations have become watered-down affairs, bland, inoffensive-- "relaxing" they call it. Music for people who basically don't like music very much. You know, background music that you don't have to pay much attention to or think about too much. Basically, high class muzak. This album takes that whole thing on in spades. In fact, in some sense it's really too true to be funny. I swear, the classical station in Boston must really have a "no minor keys until after 11pm" rule, and if they're not quite "all Pachelbel all the time!", they certainly play at least 33% obscure baroque works, while playing maybe 2% romantic and *zero* percent 20th century. So while the comedy on this album may not be the very best, the parody is absolutely spot-on. For that, I say "Kudos!!" This is a CD that in several places brought tears to my eyes -- tears not of sadness, but of laughing so hard I cried. The hilarious parody of obnoxious and insulting sports talk show hosts (Jocko) reminds me of some all-too-real jerks on the radio now. The "Enos Presley" songs, Hound Dog and Love Me, were the real "tear jerkers" if you know what I mean. They are foisted upon the hapless "Prof" Schikele by his rambunctious co-hosts Jocko and Blondie, who figure that the station owner never listens and so it's okay to play something that's not classical on this otherwise "all Pachelbel all the time" station. "Enos," who didn't mind his name until they started calling his brother "Elvis the Pelvis" -- actually has quite an incredible voice: a combination of Elvis, Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison, and others. He is backed by an authentic and straight-faced "Jordanaires-like" group that is the perfect foil to his over-the-top parody of 50's Elvis-style pop.Other hilarious songs are the four "Folk Song Upsettings" for soprano, piano, and "devious instruments" including Prof hitting himself over the head with cardboard tubes. The reason I give this only a 4 rather than a 5 rating is that some of the actual PDQ instrumental music isn't that good. Sure, it's obviously not SUPPOSED to be good, but I mean it isn't bad or zany enough to be as funny as earlier PDQ Bach pieces like "My Bonnie Lass She Smelleth" and "Shleptet" and "The Stoned Guest," all of which were more inspired comedically and musically.Still, this is definitely a CD to make you laugh. The best parts make it worth going through some less inspired sections. Average Rating:![]() |

As we've come to expect from Peter Schickele (aka P.D.Q Bach), this is a comedy CD based thoroughly and utterly in classical music in-jokes, puns, references, mis-hearings, etc. Here, we're in the world of a casual, presumably classical music radio show ("all Pachelbel, all the time"), with a host and two sidekicks, all of whom can't resist "witty" chitchat... |

Road Trips: Vol. 2, No. 3 - Wall of Sound (2 CD)ReviewsI personally do not own this road trips volume, and actually the only reason I'm only giving this 4 stars is because neither concert is complete. I have had both of these shows as a bootleg for sometime now, and personally I'm surprised neither complete show is presented; these are some of the best shows of 1974 Dead out there. In fact, I strongly disagree with R. Hutchinson that the 6/18 show is less inspired. Imho, it is the best show of the year. The Weather Report Suite>Jam>Other One>It's a Sin is one of the finest examples I can personally think of of this band's seemingly telepathic interplay. Not to mention this indescribably HOT and perhaps most unique ever version of The Other One (not the full That's it for the Other One suite of '68-71) is eclipsed only by 9/17/72 as "best of all time". The jam moves into the exceedingly rare I know It's a Sin that I wish was way longer, because its so damn good. Lots of great moments are left out of both shows though, like the Jam after Truckin' from 6/16 and the great versions of Tennessee Jed and Morning Dew that also get my vote for "best ever." What is here though, like the 2 great Eyes of the World, playing in the Band, and the aftormetioned WRS thur It's a Sin are certainly worth owning, but do yourself a favor and track down the complete shows; you can listen to them for free on [...]. Wow, I didn't really think it would ever happen, but here it is -- the June 16th, 1974 show at the Iowa County Fairgrounds in Des Moines. My girlfriend and I drove 8 hours from Chicago to be there. We had just graduated from high school. What an adventure! The speed limit was 55 MPH in response to the OPEC oil embargo, and there was a recession. But I was barreling along I-80 at 80, well above the previous limit of 70 so we wouldn't be late -- the Dead were waiting on the other end! We sat about half-way up the stands facing the Wall of Sound. I remember that at points the music would drop off to ppp, but we could still hear the guitars -- Jerry, Bobby and Phil -- like they were close enough to touch. Interesting, despite the vast sound array the mix was off -- the vocals and drums were too low. But the guitars -- wow, incredible! This Road Trips release is both exciting and annoying. Of course I would really like the entire Des Moines show, but this is only part of it. Disc 1 is from Des Moines, while Disc 2 is from Louisville two days later. And the *really* annoying part is that there is a bonus third disc that is now quite expensive to acquire. The 2-disc version can still be had cheaply directly from Deadnet, but for the 3-disc version we are now over a barrel. Given my personal experience, I had to locate a copy. Disc 3, the bonus disc, is nearly all Des Moines material, six more songs, including "Truckin'">Jam>"Wharf Rat" and "Goin' Down the Road Feeling Bad." The Louisville disc features some nice jams leading into "The Other One" and then from it into a great closer, "Stella Blue." Despite my affection for the recording of the show I attended, I can't say this is the best available 1974 show. That would be Dick's Picks 31, recorded August 4-6 in Philly and Jersey City. But this is quite good, it certainly captures the sound and some of the current material of the time, the songs from WAKE OF THE FLOOD and MARS HOTEL. To me at the time, it sounded like SKULL & ROSES with a jazzier edge provided by "Eyes of the World" and "Scarlet Begonias" especially. And it brings back memories of the summer of '74! La Crosse Technology Weather Direct WD-3308U-WAL 4 Day Internet Powered Wireless ForecasterReviewsI should have read the reviews on the Model 3307 a very similar model and heeded them. But, thinking the 3308 was a debugged upgrade I made my second mistake and purchased it. It's one thing to spend ten dollars on a marginal item and quite another to spend a hundred. An American Tail - Fievel Goes WestReviewsLove this film. Brings back great memories of our childhood & hope to share it with our own family one day. This product was delivered expeditiously and in wonderful condition. I love this movie! It's much better than the first American Tail movie. I am so glad I get to share this with my children! They have watched it almost non-stop since I received it! I wish that there were more animated movies like this one available more often! I enjoyed all 4 movies of An American Tail on DVD. I was wondering about Fievel's Americans Tails. Fievel's American Tails is an animated television series produced by Steven Spielberg's Amblimation animation studio, Nelvana, and Universal Cartoon Studios. It aired for one season in 1992, and continued Fievel's adventures from the 1991 film An American Tail: Fievel Goes West. It should a 2-disc set, containing all 13 episodes. Disc 1 1. Fievel, the Lonesome Ranger 2. Law and Disorder 3. Little Mouse on the Prairie 4. The Gift 5. A Case of the Hiccups 6. The Legend of Mouse Hollow 7. Babysitting Blues Disc 2 8. The Lost Mother Lode 9. A Mouse Known as Zorrowitz 10. Mail Order Mayhem 11. Aunt Sophie's Visit 12. That's What Friends are For 13. Bell the Cats. Please look into releasing Fievel's American Tails on DVD, or download all 13 episodes on iTunes, Universal Pictures! This is my favorite Fievel movie, the dream of tanya becoming a singer and his best friend tiger finding love and sticking out for his little friend not matter what.! the whole storie is so good,..kids and adults can enjoy it. I received my DVD very quickly and in great condition. I would definately recommend this seller! I was very pleased! Average Rating:![]() |

RockyReviewsQuite simply the best version of Rocky 1 ever made. This version has extended scenes that you do not get with the regular Rocky. This is a must have for anyone who loves the Rocky Series. Even if you have Rocky 1 you should still get the special edition version. I would think this has to be possibly the best movie ever and so rated as #1 when any discussions of such movies comes up. Its the only movie I come back to see again and again. I think I have seen it six times to date. It has excellent lines throughout, and also has excellent music. It has a humble atmosphere throughout, setting up the next 5 Rocky movies; where Rocky fights with complacent attitude, because of money and fame. Big budget films have an atmosphere of a spoiled director and actors, writers etc, and obviously after seeing this, one can see the difference. A humble movie with powerful lines and creativity, by a writer (Stallone) who at the time had maybe $200 to his name, and lived in a roach infested apt. turns out to be the best movie of all time. Well they say the first is always the best , and in this case that is the story here. The old rags to riches story but in this case the film ends on a good note where Rocky does not win the title but ends up a winner in every other aspect.Great performances from Burgess Meredith and Carl Weathers and not forgetting Burt Young as Paulie. For a publicity stunt the world champion Apollo Creed decides to give a unknown a shot at the title , with nearly disasterous results for him at the end of the film.A great performance by Stallone where he also wrote the script , done on a budget the film raked in millions and made a star out of him.I have all the Rocky films but rate this and Rocky 2 as the best. From Rocky 3 on they sort of lost there way a bit , I would rate 3 , 4 and 5 with 3 stars and Rocky Balboa with 4 as they went back more to the grass roots with this film which I liked. I really like the original Rocky movie. I forgot how amazing the writing is. I mean, come on- it's about a boxer who has to compete in the biggest match of his life thus far in his young and already pretty beat-up career. How can you make a great storyline out of a rather lackluster idea? By having the story focus significantly on the boxers life, and by featuring a steady and quiet storyline build-up to please those of us who love a good drama, and even include a charming quality in the atmosphere along with great character development by everyone involved in the film. Sylvester Stallone may be the main character, but all the other characters are equally terrific. It's nice to have some variety. The portion of the film dealing with Rocky getting to know Adrian was well-executed, and perhaps even better than the boxing match itself. Absolutely great writing material. Adrian is such a shy woman, in fact, more shy than I've EVER seen a woman before, and that kind of personality appeals to me personally. This is the film where we learn about all the characters that would make more appearances and play major parts in future Rocky movies. Most of the movie focuses on getting to know the characters, and less on the fight itself (even the dramatic build-up to the fight was short and sweet). The boxing match itself was fun to watch, though I wish the writers would have included a bit more of the match itself, instead of skipping ahead several rounds. I won't reveal who won the fight, but you might get the same impression I did over who really won the fight based on the amount of material we see. So yeah, the film is obviously dated a bit, Sylvester Stallone is quite young here, the movie does a tremendous job showing viewers what it's like to wander down the dark, empty streets of Philadelphia in the middle of the night, and this movie is just the beginning of what would deservedly become a classic film series over the years. You have to give Sylvester Stallone credit for writing himself a starring vehicle, and then getting it made. He also more or less created the "Sports Underdog Triumphs In The End" genre. That said, that fact that this embarrassingly over-acted film beat out ALL THE PRESIDENT'S MEN, BOUND FOR GLORY, NETWORK and TAXI DRIVER for the Best Film of 1976 is absolutely mind-boggling, and becomes more so with each passing year. Strictly for Sly fans, and anyone who wonders what was in The Academy's drinking water that year ... Average Rating:![]() |

Weather Station, Wmr90A/Boxs ProReviewsI purchased this weather station for my husband as a Christmas gift. He absolutely loves it! It so far has proven to be accurate and all features are performing well. It is well constructed for the price. It was initially a little tricky to sync the unit with the sensors, you really have to read the directions. Only one downside noted, the unit does not have a backlight for viewing in low light.Overall, a good value for the money. I bought this station to replace an Oracle weather station that finally stopped working. The package arrived intact, and I spent about 2 hours locating the anenometer & the rain gauge. The base unit has a battery backup, and must be plugged in to work. Setting the time was easy - the atomic feature was nice. However, despite the photo, the was no 'illuminated display' that I was able to use. The display will only show average wind & current rainfall; to see accumulated rain or max gust you must manually 'ask' it to show you this, then it will go back to default. The screws used for assembly are TINY. It took a long time to finally put the anenometer together. When I mounted it on my house, (about 100 feet from the base unit), it never synced up. I called Oregon Scientific about the problem, who instructed me to 'reset' it 3 different ways - no luck. So they ordered me a replacement to ship to me. Meanwhile, while waiting the 1 to 6 WEEKS to get my replacement anenometer on a 1 week old purchase, the rain gauge stopped working too. No luck getting that to work either. Luckily, the replacement anenometer came after 1 week. I was excited until I opened the box - and it was the WRONG ONE! This unit on AMAZON has a combination anenometer, hydrogmeter, barometer, and thermometer in one unit. (note: the temp outside/barometer worked, but not the wind function). What Oregon Scientific sent me was a simple anenometer ONLY - which left me without a barometer/thermometer/hydrogmeter. I called to find out what happened, and their 'files' show they sent me the right one. There is no record of what came in the box as being part of the product, and are unable to send me another. Feeling glad that I kept all packaging, I promptly boxed the thing up & mailed it back to the vendor for a full refund. It was a very frustrating, low grade experience. From day 1 this Oregon Scientific weatherstation was malfunctioning. Next, a nightmare started after contacting the Customer Service of Oregon Scientific. Many e-mails have been send and only a few replies. Eventually Oregon Scientific admitted the sensor needed replacement. They promised to send a new one. Oregon Scientific never did. The money spend on this Oregon Scientific weather station was lost. A complain is filed now with the Better Bussiness Bureau. Oregon Scientifics Advanced Weather Station with Wirless Sensor Set, Model: WMR90A It's a cool little device for providing weather information for your immediate area. My unit came with the Base Station, Wind Sensor and Rain Collector. The base station was quite easy to set up just insert the batteries and it communicates by radio with the atomic clock in Fort Collins, Colorado which has a range of 2,000 miles and the date and time synchronizes magically! The instruction manual was easy to follow however because of its uniqueness as an electronic device it requires more attention and focus going through the manual. Installation of the Wind Sensor requires a trip on your roof to look for a good spot and the package comes with everything you need to install it onto a 1-1/2" pvc pipe. The controls takes some getting use to. Not that it is dificult or confusing but to familiarize yourself with its interface and how the engineers had designed this particular weather stations use. Once you've installed the Wind Sensor and the Rain Collector the fun begins with reading inside and outside temperatures and humidity. Wind Speed and Barometric pressures. And if your lucky enough to have it rain you can read the rainfall by the hour. After playing around with it you begin to realize that you can hook up to 10 sensors. With the Wind Sensor and the Rain Collector occupying 2 of the 10 sensor possibilities I began to realize that I can install another wireless sensor in the garage, another sensor upstairs and the other in our green house and monitor the temperature that our plants are having to endure. Upon searching for extra sensors to accomplish this I ran into another sensor that can be placed in a pool or a Koi Pond so that you could monitor the temperature of the water for these two completely different applications. Wish List: After playing with it, I would have loved for the base station to have bluetooth capabilities to bluetooth with my computer and have the ability to make comparisons with say the Almanac data and read the temperature for all of the sensors simultaneously. The Cons: The installation of the batteries on the Rain Collector was difficult only because you must deal with very tiny #0 screw sizes. And there are 8 tiny screws that you have to deal with. There is a reset button that is below the surface of the body that requires something pointy like a pen to depress. The reset button does not give you any indication that you've depressed it properly. Also, the lcd screen could use a backlight because the symbols (icons) are difficult to see. I would recommend this Weather Station. It was a well thought out device and has expansion capabilities that can grow with my needs. Along with your iphone, laptop, digital camera, full size truck, riding lawn mower, power tools, lcd tv in the garage and taylormade golf clubs this little device fortifies anybodys want for more cool stuff. I ordered this for my husband and he loved it. I seems sturdy and well constructed. We put the central part, with the wind vane up on our old TV antenna pole so that it gets unobstructed wind direction and temperature. We haven't put he rain meter out yet. Looking for a good spot that is easy to get to, but safe and not under any overhang, probably on a fence post with a platform. The directions were a bit difficult to get through, although not too hard to assemble. And I would have liked more explanation of what the different bits of information mean on the display and how they are used by weather forecasters. It took quite a while for it to sync up the dynamic clock, so be patient. Average Rating:![]() |

Oregon Scientific RMR382A-BK Wireless Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer with Self-Setting Atomic Clock, BlackReviewsOnce it works, this is quite an attractive and convenient thermometer and it seems to give an accurate outdoor reading. That's on the plus side. On the negative side are these: 1) The atomic clock -- do we really need that? -- has never worked, at least not on mine. It picks up a signal, but not the right time. 2) The temperature alarm is a great idea maybe if you're a citrus grower and want to know when the temperature dips below freezing, but a stupid idea for the rest of us. Good luck with figuring out how to deactivate it. (Other reviewers have sufficiently chronicled their travails with this one.) 3) The instruction booklet specifies the use of UM03 and UM04 batteries. Don't be an idiot and chase all over town trying to find batteries with that name; you won't find them. Just use standard AA and AAA alkaline or lithium batteries. 4) The remote sensor won't give an accurate temperature if it is attached to the house, so you are challenged with finding a location away from the house that will be sheltered from the sun and rain as well as in line with the receiver. 5) Setting up the device requires a lot of resetting to make it work. Where are those reset buttons? They are conveniently located pinholes inside the battery cases. Inspired design! 6) Also, the time zone selector is located inside the unit's battery case, just so you will go nuts trying to find it. Even if reliably functioning, this is not a well-designed product and is way too complicated for most people's use. Setting it up is and learning how to use it is frustrating and unnecessarily difficult. The instructions require what seems like hours of study. Buyers should beware that this is anything but a put-the-batteries-in-and-it-goes product. Oregon Scientific really needs to work on this one. It took me awhile to get the positioning right on the outdoor transmitter, I had to keep moving it and resetting it until I just about gave up and THEN it started working. It was cheap and now works fine but it would've been a hassle to send back had it not decided to work. This works well and the clock picks up the signal quickly. The only negative is it can't be hung on the wall. I purchased this RM382A to replace an earlier model Oregon remote thermometer that had failed after 5+ years. This RM382A was a good device, while it lasted. It operated flawlessly for 10 months. Now the remote sensor does not register. The sensor, with a new lithium AA blinks the indicator LED, but the display will not register an outside temperature. This is true even when the sensor is within 5' of the RM382A. The sensor, while outside, was under roof, and out of direct weather. I have no way of telling if the sensor failed, or the main unit failed. I'm highly disappointed with Oregon. This clock is good. But it was a little difficult to get the right time and temperature. Average Rating:![]() |

Oregon Scientific BAR388HGA Wireless Weather Station with Temperature/Humidity Display and Self-Setting Atomic Clock, BlackReviewsI have seen a bunch of complaints about not setting the right time. On my units I needed to manually set the time zone then everything worked out. Also note that the radio signal used is pretty weak and comes from CO, the 24 hours is that evening reception is often better than daytime (same with many long wave radio signals). But with a little work I got all of mine to work even in MA (which is nearly as far away as you can get). I couldn't find the manual for this unit online, but here is the excerpt from my products manual To manually set the clock make sure the clock signal reception is disabled. 1. Press and hold MODE for 2 seconds. 2. Select the US time zone (Pacific (P), Eastern (E), Central (C) and Mountain (M)), hour, minute, year, month, day and language. Press or to change the setting. 3. Press MODE to confirm Note that as others have said if your barometric pressure/ weather forecast are off try adjusting your elevation. We are close to sea level so I didn't need to do that. Worked fine for a year or so, not very accurate, but worked. It has recently stopped picking up the signal from the sensor. Very annoying that Oregon Scientific has such poor customer support. It's almost impossible to get help. Not sure other manufacturers are any better, but I wouldn't buy this again. This was a very nice choise, was a present to my son and still every day he looks and tanks me saying that it works very well. Works well and is easy to set up. But don't drop it. I did and the screen cracked so this is the second one I ordered! I searched high and low for a middle of the road weather station, one that was not to expensive but yet not to cheap. I was looking for indoor and outdoor temps with outdoor humidity and so the fact that this unit provides indoor humidity as well was a bonus. Set up was pretty easy as well. I have tried the outdoor sensor in two different locations and have had no problem with it. Average Rating:![]() |

Oregon Scientific RM313PNA Self-Setting Projection Alarm Clock with Indoor Thermometer, BlueReviewsI was tired of craning my neck in bed to see the time and purchased the Oregon Scientific self-setting clock for the projection feature. I was so pleased with its performance I immediately purchased another clock as a replacement in my office. I have subsequently purchased six more clocks, which I gave as gifts. I heartily recommend this wonderful product. John C. Hughes Las Vegas, NV This clock is okay for the price, but the model we received doesn't have a working backlight on the front display. I tried contacting the company through the email address on their website, but it came back as undeliverable. For me, it's not worth the trouble to try to send back to Amazon to exchange for another one, and I'm just using it for the time projection, so I'm using it as-is. Based on other reviews I've read, though, it's not uncommon to get a defective unit, so keep that in mind. I been using this alarm clock for 2 years now and I have no complaints about it. Doesn't go out of time, it synchronizes itself. It projects the time in big red numbers in the ceiling so when I wake up in the middle of the night all I have to do is look up and I know the time. The alarm is annoying enough to wake me up (that's a good thing) and the snooze button gives me 8 more minutes of sleep, lol. Also it tells the temperature. Really good alarm clock! This clock was given to me as a gift about 5 1/2 years ago. It has worked just fine all that time until about 6 months ago when the LED lights for the projection apparatus started going out...we have to guess at the minutes now, and the hour is also starting to go. For the money, however, it worked well for 5 years. I ordered this only for the projection clock. It works exactly as described. I would absolutely purchase again. Average Rating:![]() |
