I bought 2 of these and gave one to my nephew--he didn't want to put his jacket on when it was cold outside. He loves checking Oscar's outfit and it gives us something to chat about on the phone. We have not had any problems with any of the units and I have bought this for a friend who cannot get caught without an umbrella! Love it and would buy it again.

I bought this as a gift and really like the idea of it. At first the temperature was pretty accurate but after 6 months the temperature is unreliable.

Works very well after set-up according to manufacturer's instruction as per enclosed booklet. There is a slight difference between the outside temperature and the actual reading of a calibrated thermometer but of no consequence. Overall it is a great buy for anyone interested in many phases of the weather.

I am completely satisfied with this unit. Lots of information, sun rise, sun set, phase of the moon, highs and lows. A really nice machine.

Excellent temperature measurement. No need to calibrate time or temperature. Should better explain that when you reposition the trasmitting unti, you need to remove the batteries from both and start them both up again as you would the first time it was taken out of the box.

The La Cross Technology Weather Channel WS-9077twc Wireless Forcase Station is wonderful. Not only does it tell us the indoor and outdoor temperatures, but also shows if it is going to rain or be sunny. We are truly enjoying it, plus is it is so very useful in a Sun Belt State.

This little unit is modestly priced, but packs a lot of features useful to those interested in the weather. Both the base unit and the included outdoor sending unit are well-constructed. The range for the outdoor sending unit is excellent, much better than the weather station I had before. The unit picked up and, so far, has retained a strong connection to the atomic clock, something my old unit could not do though placed in exactly the same location uin the kitchen. Set up is easy if you follow the instructions. I have only two quibbles. Both the unit and display are smaller than I would like; but this might be a positive for you if you plan to have the unit sitting on a smaller desk or table. Second, so far the "forecaster" may not be as accurate as the one in my last unit. I am thinking that my old unit had an altitude "offset" feature. I don't think this one does. Price and shipping speed are excellent.

I ordered this weather station. I got it up and running with it's remote sensor. Not a big deal. The temps on the base station and the receiver that came with the unit were very close...and it was easy to PROGRAM. Here's the RUB...the Amazon Site has an ERROR. If you want a REMOTE SENSOR TO WORK WITH THIS ONE...do NOT TRUST AMAZON. You need to TX29U-IT Sensor. LaCrosse says that this is the NUMBER ONE COMPLAINT with this unit...that Amazon has them LINKED. I am trying to get Amazon to return the incorrect sensor and replace it with the correct one. I doubt that will be a problem. However, for folks in the future to AVOID THIS HASSLE...you need to do some homework. Go to the LaCrosse Technology Website and do a SEARCH for the base or weather station that you want. When you find it, you will find in the SPECS the correct Remote Sensor. Hope this helps someoneelse avoid my issues and the hassle.

This is the second unit I've had. Each one has lasted about 15 months and then the outdoor temp is no longer read. Replaced batteries, reset as instructed and still no out door reading. Same thing both times. Done with this product.

The weather station is great. It is very accurate and just interesting to use. Only two complaints keep this from being a 5-star review. First, there was no mention in the info that the sensor was included, plus the list of items "also purchased" with this listed the sensor. I ordered it separately, and now have a spare, as the weather station did include the sensor. The second issue is that the range is nowhere near what is advertised, at least not for me. I have the sensor about 8 ft from the outside wall, but can only get a signal within about 30 ft. inside the house. Apparently the walls and floor attenuates the signal.

For several years I have had an indoor weather predictor that I love so I thought it would be fun to get this for my son so he could have one too! I was so disappointed that it didn't work! Even though it was snowing outside, the boy on this device was wearing a bathing suit and the weather device said it was in the 70s!! I tried moving this everywhere in the house -- near windows, doors, etc. but it was always at least 30 degrees off. I was really disappointed and it was one of the very few items I have ever returned on this site. Amazon.com was very good about giving me a refund right away so I was happy about that.

A good product showing both indoor and outdoor conditions. Wish the data screen was larger.

I found this product very easy to set up and install. The temperature and humidity readings have been very accurate both indoors and outside.

This unit replaced an older (and less capable) La Crosse model. Its additional features are very useful and make "looking ahead" much easier and with better accuracy. SUPER UNIT !!

Our first priority in purchasing this item was to get an excellent projector. We got what we were looking for. Unfortunately, the "touch sensor" controls are a disaster, and each morning and evening is spent in a frustrating wrestling match with the alarm functions.

I am a lite sleeper and I like to see the time. It is just so easy to see it on your ceiling in the your room. I like to know the temp. in our room to either open or shut the door or turn a fan off or on. I just really enjoy this product. I had a small projection clock/temp. , but it had to have batteries and your product uses elect.w/backup to keep info for you. This is a great product!!!!!!! Hope to have it for years. M.J.

We bought this for a cabin in the snow. After reading the directions multiple times, we could not turn off the "freeze alert" alarm that would then beep at all hours of the night. The alarm clock is hard to use and it would go off at weird times, too. We have replaced this item with a wind & weather item that has NO ALARMS!

I was looking for a replacment indoor/outdoor to fit in the spot my old one was in. This had the right dimension, but I didn't read closely enough, turns out it doesn't wall mount. My fault there. Anyway, I set it up on a dresser and the 1st thing I notice is that the LCD is so faint it's almost illegible. You have to pick it up and look at it just right to see the display at all. Later that night, around 2AM, I get woken up to a beeping sound. Look all around, and finally realize it's coming from the unit. I dig out the manual, and realize I hadn't shut off the low-temp alarm. Did that and went back to sleep, only to be woken up again an hour or so later. Tried turning it off again, but it keeps going off. Next I thought I'd outsmart it. I set the low temp to 0 degrees (it was only in the 20s), and that worked that night. Next night it starts going off again, even though it's a good 30 degrees above where I set it. The long and short of it is the low-temp alarm doesn't work correctly, and can't be shut off (no matter what the manual says). I've retried it several times over the last few weeks, and it keeps screwing up. I finally just pulled the batteries and it's going in the trash tomorrow. Between the alarm and the bad display, this was a total waste of money. I'd never bought anything by Oregon Sci. before, and don't plan to again. When it's back in stock I'll get the Honeywell, even though it's a bit larger than I wanted.

We had some initial difficulty getting the sensor unit to talk to the main unit but eventually they connected. In the end we hung the sensor unit from the eave in a small wicker bird house pointing through a deck slider to the main unit about 10 feet away inside. A lithium battery was necessary below 40 deg F. Now it is working fine, with the lowest temperature so far being 18 deg F. We are pleased with it after two months of use.

I ordered this because it had all the features I needed at the right price. I received the merchandise quickly and installed the batteries. The main unit picked up the sensor just fine - UNTIL - if you set the clock or date, the signal is lost!! I repeated this experiment 3 times - at distances of 1", 10", and 10' - EVERY time the unit lost the sensors signal. The seller took care of me, but I do NOT recommend this product to anyone unless you like to buy Junk.

I bought this unit to replace another unit from another vendor. The problem I had with my other unit was poor range of the wireless sender. I also wanted a temperature alarm because I will be using this in an RV and want to make sure my water compartment does not freeze. The base is small and compact and the LCD is perhaps a little crowded but not terrible I would say. I do like the size. My disappointments with this unit and remote are twofold. I ran into a problem with accuracy on the remote... the temperature reported was 3 to 4 degrees off from the base unit temperature when they were sitting side by side. This was in comparison to the units I was replacing as well some other non wireless thermometers I used for comparison. I proceeded to the Oregon Scientific web site and requested support on this issue online. Their site says you should get a response within 4 days. After 8 days, I had not received a response so I called the company and explained my issue. The following is what they told me. After telling me who their products are not intended as scientifically calibrated instruments (I sensed they have heard this complaints before), they indicated that their policy is that a thermometer (or remote sender) can be plus or minus 2.5 degrees off from another unit. This is not 2.5 plus or minus from the real temperature but from the any other sender or base unit. I indicated that this could mean that a unit could be off 5 or 10 degrees from the real temperature and they answered that my interpretation was correct and that this is their policy. I did not accept the explanation from the first support agent so she handed me off to another support agent who reiterated the policy. Two different support people from Oregon Scientific had now told me the same thing. I was not expecting perfection, but I guess since this unit is priced a little more than average that at least it would be somewhat accurate... maybe one to two degrees off at most. A I mentioned at least three other thermometers that I used to compare the results from this one were within about 1 degree of each other. The base unit on this one was close but the remote was significantly off. To me it seems that Oregon Scientific's policy on accuracy is absurd. One question I asked the support person is why didn't Oregon Scientific articulate this policy on the packaging so that a consumer could make a reasonable and informed choice based on that information... of course there was no answer. I think that if the consumer knew how inaccurate a thermometer Oregon Scientific's policy allows their products to be, this knowledge would be detrimental to their sales. After all, isn't accuracy what a digital thermometer is all about? I know that had I known all this, I would not have bought this product. I guess my reaction is that I had an incorrect perception of Oregon Scientific products being step up products.... Something a little better. Certainly their customer service response, their policies and the product itself suggests otherwise.
