I bought three of these about two years ago. When I opened the box they were all three reading exactly the same temperature, and they have remained accurate since then wherever I have used them - indoors, outdoors, in refrigerators, etc. I've had not-so-good luck accuracy-wise with a lot of other thermometers, but these have been very dependable. I just ordered three more. I would have also ordered one of the 10 inch versions, but it doesn't seem to be available anymore.

This is an excellent buy. $2.00 and free shipping. It's accurate, water / weather proof and it doesn't need a battery

The mounting screw included with the thermometer was too large for the hole it was supposed to go through, requiring me to find a screw with a smaller head.

This purchase gave me an opportunity and great feeling that I did not have to go to the local store. 1.99 and free delivery. Not as small as I thought and gets the job done in the attics and Patio. Limit of three per order - not sure why I wanted to order more...lol.

This thermometer, for the price, is a good deal and get the job done. I have installed a this in my attic and they seem to be accurate for most part and easy to read.

My first experience with this thermometer was not great. Could not get it to work at all, despite trying all sorts of resets, battery replacements, button pushing and chants to the Higher Powers of Consumer Electronics. The LED on the transmitter unit would not light up, and thus would not communicate with the base unit. But Amazon came through very well - returned it, and they sent me a new one. No hassle whatsoever. Two thumbs up to the Amazon folks! The second unit is working very well. I'm sitting in the house, but know that the chicken on the smoker just hit 111 degrees! I'm finding it to be a huge help with using the smoker, since I don't have to remove the cover (and thus let a lot of heat escape) to check how things are cooking. Plus, you don't have to turn items on the smoker, so positioning the probe is very easy. The probe on the unit I received is different than the one pictured. It's straight rather than with a curve/loop at the end. The design I have seems like it would be sturdier than the one pictured, so perhaps this is a response from the manufacturer due to complaints about probe failures. The range is excellent. I have not lost the signal unless I'm in the basement, and then only when I'm in the far back away from the window. The unit is not all that intuitive at first, and the manual is not what you'd call well organized. But, after a short trial and error period, it works just fine. The buttons are also a bit small - the reset button in particular is way too small and hard to find. I've not had the need to use the reset function, but I'll keep that in mind should the unit not want to communicate (thanks to all the other reviewers who mentioned that there is a reset button in both the base unit and the transmitter!!). The fact that the first one was DOA gives me pause as to the longevity of this unit, but I'll be optimistic and give it 4 stars. It is a very handy and, while a regular meat thermometer will also do the trick at a much lower cost, this is one of those tools that are just fun!

Works great, intuitive, although it did take me a bit to figure out how to set my own desired temperatures as opposed to those pre-set for beef, pork, etc. I like to do roasts on the BBQ but really got tired of running in and out to check on them. This solves that problem. First bought myself one and then got one for my son-in-law on Father's day. He is even lazier than am I. 8-)

To date I am having great difficulty getting this to operate. First the batteries were not good.Second, although following directions for use I cannot get it to operate it as it should. The main control will not program what I want in terms of temp. control and the unit that has the probe does not light as it should to indicate it is operating.

I've gone through about a thousand different meat thermometers in the past few years. Well, maybe not that many, but close. The #1 common feature of all of these things is the horrible build quality. So this one surprised me, because it's not cheesy. I've dropped it a few times and it has held up just fine. My biggest complaint about this one though is that the features are kind of weird. For example, it has audible alerts, but you can't control the volume. There's a small switch inside the battery compartment where you can switch it from CALL-THE-COPS loud to STILL-PRETTY-ANNOYING loud. I guess the designers planned for old dad to drop a couple steaks on the grill and then go pass out drunk. In that case, this baby would totally do the trick. I also wish the thermometer had a better range. Like when I put the probe in the cold meat, I'd like to really know the temp. The lowest it reads is 83*. That's not very helpful. My final gripe is that the pairing of the pieces is pretty finicky. I've had to pull the batteries & push the reset switches three different times to remind the two parts that they swore to stand side by side 'til death do them part. Other than that, it's a decent grilling companion. I've used it a couple dozen times and have had great results with all my food (ribs, steaks, chicken, roasts, etc.). I'll take the credit for the good grub, but this device has been a decent partner. I just wish I could convince it to use it's "indoor voice" and not yell at me all the time. I go outside to grill so I won't have to listen to any more yelling.

I absolutely love this gadget! NO more worrying if meat is cooked to temperature! Great to not serve over or under done steak!

This little device has opened the world of grilling for all to see. The first rule of the Knights of the Round Grills is Temp, Temp, Temp...and this one is awesome. With both dome and meat probes, it gives you real time info via a wireless connection to the base transmitter. It has max temp alarms for both meat and dome and a timer. You will learn more about your grill temp in 1 session of grilling than you have to date. This turns grilling into tactical application of fire to achieve perfect meat. I give this little number an 'All of the stars in the sky' review, but they only gave me 5, so I am going with that. Buy. It. Now. hk

Used this unit for the first time today in my brand new Masterbuilt 30" smoker. I like the fact I can sit in my livingroom and monitor both the temp of the smoker and the internal temp of the food with just a glance at the remote receiver. My problem is with the temps. My Masterbuilt says it's 130 degrees, but my Redi-Check says it's 140 or higher. Now maybe I was placing it in the wrong spot inside the smoker. I hung it dead center. I noticed the probe for the Masterbuilt is up top. The smoked salmon seemed to turn out fine from what I tasted. Anyway, I'm currently testing the unit in my oven. I set the oven temp to 170. The Redi Check registered 202. when I placed it dead center of the oven. Then I placed the probe up top, like the probe that's in the oven and after 25 minutes it finally read 170. Next I removed the probe and let it fall to 150. Then I increased the oven temp to 180 and when the oven sounded it had reached it, placed the probe on the top rack. The redi-check climbed until it show 204 and held. After approx 20 minutes it started to dropping and now reads to 186. So, with every minute it drops 1 degree. So I dont know what to tell you. I'm going to play with the oven temps over the next few hours to see what the deal is. I cant be chasing Masterbuilt digital temps readouts and this unit's reading if it's that much off. Tomorrow I'm going up to the a Kitchen supply place and get another thermometer. Either the Smoker is off, My Oven is off or this Probe is off. Somethings not right. I hope the "internal" food probe was accurate, as with smoking fish, you MUST get it the flesh hot enough internally to kill off parasites, yet not dry it out by overcooking/smoking it. Tomorrow I'm trying half a chicken and will test the meat with this probe and a different one I've used for years for turkey and roasts. Overall, I like the unit. I just hope the temps it's showing me are accurate.

This is a good unit. I use it with a Bubba Keg Grill. However it will work with any type of grill where it'd important to know the temp of the product being cooked and also the temp of the cooking area. This has 2 probes one for the food and one for the grate. It even comes with a grate holder that clips onto your grill. Only complaint I have is the location of the on/off switch on the transmitter. The remote has decent range for me. I usually BBQ in my driveway and have no problems with it in my basement. Its a bit tricky to program it for your temps. So you really need to read the manual that comes with it. I use it for my Weber One Touch Gold and is a must for smoking.

The first time I used my unit it worked well for the first six hours. Then it started showing "HHH" in the pit probe display. Restarting didn't help. I have called techinical support and did not get an answer. Next I emailed them and have not received a reply in four days. I would call and see if they answer their phones and emai them and see if they return your email before I buy one odf these units. I gave them one star because that was as low as I could go.

Really appreciate the chart with the resistance/temp values. Leads are too short, though, and will not fit into the S1/S2 terminal blocks on the Honeywell 8000 series thermostats without stripping away some of the strands to make the conductor pack thinner. Overall, though a quality product.

This is a great product;I installed it myself and it recordsthe outside temperature on my Honeywell thermostat. I am very pleased with it. It is accurate as I have read the resistance from the chart and it is right on. What I like so much is that I don't have to guess at what it is outside for shutting my Heat pump down for instance if the temperature is too cold for the heat pump to be effective. But best of all was the price I got it for. The contractor quoted me almost 4 times The price but with shipping it was still about 1/3rd of the price and I didn't have to leave my home and waste my precious time.Thank you Amazon for making this possible. The Honeywell C7089U1006 Outdoor Temperature Sensor was easy to hook up and install, but a little more $$ than I really should have paid, I put this in when I installed the new programmable thermostat. Now I have a reference to the outside temp at the thermostat. I don't know if they make a compatible cordless remote, which would be easier, but this one, so far seems accurate and operable. Plan on splicing the contact lines, however, as the leads are only 6 feet long

detailed instructions come with the product. It is very easy to install and works very well.

This product works great with the correct thermostat. I have a Trane/Honeywell TH8321U. Its easy to install, only took 18-2 gauge wire from Home Depot and two wire nuts.

This lotion is great. It keeps the bugs away and best of all it's safe. No DEET. My son has not had any bites since using it. Thank you very much.

We love this product because it is safe for kids and DEET free. One downside is that it does have a very strong lemon smell but if you don't mind that it is a great lotion for kids.

I bought this broom from a local hardware store some years ago. It is so great that I decided to get another one for my house in the South. Everybody should have a broom like this. I use it with bleach and everything else. It just doesn't wear out. (Unfortunately,, the handle got lost in the mail and I will be ordering another one).

Wolf-Garten has a winner here - I recommend starting with steel telescoping handle (as I did) for most versatility. The broom is excellent quality - well-made attachment that is durable & rot-proof. Thrilled to have found this "system" for all my lawn/garden maintanance needs. Attaches really easily, snaps into place & stays there until you unattach it. Definitely recommend for quality & price.

Yes, it is just a broom attachment, you need to buy the handle seperately. It does a great job pushing all the gunk along, from dead bugs to leaves to dirt. I did not completely read the Amazon description, which is somewhat misleading, (the yellow casing of the red bristles is actually 14 and 1/2 inches wide; depth 2 inches), and I was expecting a full size push broom thing, like you see janitors use. I believe that size would be more appropriate for outdoor use. Anyway it does such a good job, and since it is smaller than I thought, I just might get another for use on hard floor surfaces in my home. I bought the aluminum handle which is ightweight. Both the handle and connection gizmo seem very sturdy, and I hope these qualities last over time.

Unless you want to sweep on your hands and knees, make sure you purchase the handle separately!

I live in the mountains in California and am always concerned with the icy roads that we get during the winter. I got tired of hitting black ice all of the time and saw this product. It gives me a better idea of what may lie ahead on the road. It was VERY easy to install and gave my older Jeep Wrangler an edge over most cars on the road. I would recommend it to all my friends. Also, the battery life is outstanding.

Nice little unit. Works as described. Love the option to plug in to cigarette lighter for back light. Would recommend it for when temps are borderline freezing and you are worried about black ice. Would purchase again.

good item worth the price only 2 problems for me. First for the outside thermometer its kind of hard to find a place to put it in without it being affected either by the heat of engine or direct sunlight or the heat of transmission or the wind when vehicle is in motion and second you can only uses the light when you connect it to the lighter its not either battery or lighter plug which for me makes my inside of the car look cluttery with all the wires that i have

I bought 2 of these and put them on the window out of the sun. they both read the same and both were atleast 5 degrees off.

My husband and I love this thermometer.One of the kids had given us one a number of years ago and somehow the knob broke off and it stopped working. When we finally found another one we knew we had to have it. They are easy to put up and easy to read.They do last a long time.Thanks

Did you ever want to know the outside temp before you got dressed in the morning? This is your answer. Mine was so admired by my next door neighbor that I bought one for her as a birthday present.

This thermometer is much too sensitive. When the sun shines on it the temperature increases 20 degrees. If you keep it out of the sun it would probably work fine.

I have purchased in the past from Amazon other outdoor weather thermometer(s) which i use and like as well but when i saw this one ...just cling onto your window..i thought i'd buy this one and it really works...it's easy to view outside my window goodsize numbers to see and it has not fallen off, even in the rain and winds it stays. What's nice i can remove and relocate if i want to. I think next time i will purchase 2 more of these..they're affordable! Thank you Amazon.com for bringing these workable items to us.

Indoor/Outdoor Thermometers are helpful during the winter to let you know how much clothing you need to put on. This one will do the job, too. It is constructed a little cheap looking but does the job. Had an old model (1965) that still works made from wood. It looks a lot nicer. Maybe they can color the plastic in a wood color? That would be nice and prettier too!
